Question about the TrackPoint control program tpcom

Hi

I have seen in the X series forum that someone used this tpcom.exe to send commands to the trackpoint controller:

http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=9021 There is a link to the program there. In the page linked there is also the specifications of the controller, which allows many fine tunings of the TrackPoint including ways to turn off the annoying calibration that causes the mouse drift.

I have tried to use this program myself, but I couldn't even run the program successfully. I have got the following error: "Couldn't open TrackPoint device 2), exiting." Did anyone had a different luck with this program? Does anybody know how to make this program work?

I think it would be curious if it was nor working becuase of hte Ultranav... on T4x machines, the trackpoint is controlled by the synaptics software in conjunction with the touchpad... in the X machines, only the trackpoint driver is present.

im willing to bet thats why youre getting that error.
