T43 - Hidden Partition

What do they have in the 5GB hidden partition? is it the image of C Drive?

for pre-desktop. because IBM can save $ on their restore CDs.

It contains diagnostic utilities to check various components on the TP and a recovery program that will restore all software (OS and drivers) to the way you purchased it.
