T42 will not start

Hi,

I have this weird problem with T42 where the laptop does not startup. When
I turn on the power, the battery, the sine wave indicator and the caps lock
indicator turns on in the normal sequence of startup and then only the battery
and the sine wave indicator remains on. No display or other activity.

Any clue of what could be causing this?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I had that same problem with my R51 once (Look for my post: "R51 doesn't start" on the R, A and G series forum). I called IBM for help and I needed to send it to IBM to get the system board replaced.
