Higher speed/Worse timings vs Lower speed/Better timing

Higher speed/Worse timings vs Lower speed/Better timing

PC2-3200 vs PC4200
I either get
PC2-3200 with lower timings

PC2-4200 with higher timings
I've generally found lower timings are better, but can my T43 handle PC2-4200 or most of the bandwith would be wasted?
