clock and date unstable
clock and date unstable
Hi,
My son has a t41 that is only a few months old. He let me know that the past few weeks he has had to reset the time and date a few times. Not a few minutes, but hours and days off. Any thoughts????
Thanks.
Frank

measure the error..muffd wrote:I'm experiencing the same problem now as well. Has anyone ever experienced this same thing? if so, what did you do to fix your problem?
Thanks
I have a T40 2373-92U.
make notes..
if it is out of spec you'll need a trip to ez serve..
however, computer clock chips are not great when it comes to accuracy..
and there are available utilities that will reset your clock..

Right now it says 6:52 Am when it should read 9:52 PM. I'll give IBM a call tomorrow.morrow wrote:measure the error..muffd wrote:I'm experiencing the same problem now as well. Has anyone ever experienced this same thing? if so, what did you do to fix your problem?

Timezone possibly changing somehow on accident? Dunno, but Windows XP Pro SP2 should have an NTP client built into it. Just double click on the clock like normal and there should be a third tab labeled "Internet Time".
