Battery maximiser and power manager

#1 Post by tom2517 » Wed Aug 03, 2005 12:17 am

What is the difference? my T43 came with power manager but I didn't not see battery maximiser. Now I have a message from Access IBM that there is a newer version of battery maximiser available.

How can I find out if I have battery maximiser because I didn't see it anywhere...

Thanks in advance.

Same thing - Power Manager on the T43 replaced the Maximiser, which came on the T42 and prior. PM has some nice fake graphs, and the interface is a bit cleaner than BM. PM also has some more settings for charge thresholds, I think.

I downloaded PM and have been running it on my T42 for a few months. No big deal.
IBM ThinkPad T42p (2373-7XU): 1.8GHz/1024MB, 15" UXGA, DVD-RW, 80GB, 2200b/g.
T42 (2374-3VU): 1.7GHz/512MB, 14.1"SXGA+, DVD-RW, 80GB, 2200b/g.

Hi Kenn, thanks for the info, I guess I don't need maximiser then. I have not used windows and IBM (apple user) in more than 5 years now so sorry for the silly question.
