TP600 'mouse' button going bad

#1 Post by Guest » Fri Jun 25, 2004 6:32 pm

The left 'mouse' button on my TP600 is going bad. I first noticed that it didn't always work when I pressed it, then noticed it didn't 'click' like the right button. I popped off the button and found that the rubber on the switch was wearing out and torn about 3/4 of the way around the perimeter. Are these replacable at all? Any other suggestions? TIA

Replacable. Look up the part number here, and call IBM, or check Ebay.

You mean replace the entire keyboard? Sure, I could do that. I'm wondering if there is anything that can be done about the one mouse button without replacing the entire keyboard. Thanks!

You could set your mouse in windows to "left handed", and use the other buton.
