Can a X20 series use a X30 series battery?

#1 Post by nx-01 » Thu Aug 04, 2005 2:00 pm

Hi folks,

I am getting an X24 and I want to get a new battery from IBM.

The battery for the X20 series is $159 and the battery for the X30 series is $129.

The dimensions are close to each other, what do you think?

Thanks for any assistance, John

P.s. I know that a T30 series will fit a T20 series, since I found that out in the T forum, so I purchased a T30 battery for my future wife's T22, it fit and it was $30 lower then a T20 battery.

I'm not sure if the X3x series battery will work, but to avoid hassle and potential problems, I would stick to the battery designated for your model.

Try phoning IBM and tell them about the price difference. The *may* lower the price for you.
