Something wrong on my T43 warranty

#1 Post by Navck » Fri Aug 05, 2005 8:26 pm

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... 97&iws=off
I see this
1 41C9247 Extended Service Contract 3 YR $107.10
$107.10
I ordered that with my 3 year standard warranty.
I also shipped my TP To easyserv instead of getting the onsite like listed in the email...

I clicked on the link, and it says that you are under warranty until June 2008 and that your machine is entitled to EZServ repair until then... looks ok to me.

Here is what I see:

Description:
This product has a three year limited warranty and is entitled to IBM EZServ service. Customers may call their local service center for more information. Dealers may provide carry-in repair for this product. Batteries have a one year warranty.

Navck,

As the 2687 models already come with a three year EZServe warranty, what did you buy the warranty extension for?

Get your money back!

Shouldn't matter.

Then it's a simple case of failure to deliver!

Call them up, explain that you wanted the Onsite upgrade and simply checked the wrong box when making your purchase.

If you purchased by phone, blame it on the salesperson!

In any eventuality you deserve your money back, at the least. Pay by credit card? Contact them and ask for a refund for failure to deliver.

Hmm, I did online and made sure nothing was wrong, and IBM said it was "included in the T43" (On my order)
So I should call them and tell this issue? (My TP is being repaired as well right now)

this might be somewhat unrelated but what if i were to buy a t43 with standard 1 year warranty with a 3 year thinkpad protection plan. is the thinkpad protection plan a combination of the service plan and the warranty or is it just a service plan that requires the purchase of an extended warranty? thanks :D

The accidental damage coverage is separate from the machine's warranty, regardless of the duration.
