A22e HDD clicking noise

Hii,
I have an A22e machine .This one's hard drive makes a hell lot of clicking noise which I find really annoying. It has a HITACHI_DK23CA HDD. Does anyone face the same problem? Is there any way to get rid of it ? Since I use Linux, I cannot do the "firmware updates" given on the IBM's support site.
