Linux on a 770ED

Hi. I just got a new T43, so now I'm thinking about trying Linux on my old 770ED. It's a 9549-5AU and it has the DVD drive with the DVD decoder card.

I did a search but I can't figure out if all the drivers exist for this laptop. On top of that, I'm new to linux.

Anyone know how hard is it to get Linux working on a 770 and where I can find the drivers. I'm sure I'll have more questions later.
