white lines during startup

I have been using my T43 for the past 5 days. whenever i start or restart my T43 after the IBM Boot logo(before loading windows) i see two white lines flashing at the bottom(2 inch from the bottom) of the screen. I don't see any other issue after that.

I am sure i did not see this before 3 or 4 days back.

Is there any thing wrong in the display?

some of the thinkpad did have the problem but i don't know the reason. :cry:

is this happening because of the windows xp installation or hardware issue?

I'd say it's memory stick problem.
Howewer if everything is perfect besides it do not fix it.

Hehe, you people are too paranoid when you first get your thinkpads. The white lines are due to the fact that the display is changing resolutions between the IBM boot logo and entering windows. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about. Now if you see lines after windows is loaded, this would be a problem, but during startup, it's normal.

I see the same symptoms on my 2668-G5U.

What kind of LCD do you have? I have the SAMSUNG LCD. Can you confirm your LCD please? Maybe it's just the SAMSUNG LCD's. This symptom did not happen on the HYDIS TP's that I have seen here @ my work.

We were thinking about sending it back since it was still in the 30 day period. We have ordered 5 more of these due in 4-6 weeks.
