Some questions about T42

Yesterday I bought my first laptop T42 2373-JTU model and I have some questions about machine.
1. Have this model Irda interface? I have IRDA in devices but don't know where it is on laptop.
2. Have laptop wirless antena output and bluetooth antena? I read only about build in LCD wirless antena

The IRDA port on your laptop is under the front edge left corner - by the Centrino sticker. It's covered by a piece of plastic that is a little darker than the surrounding base. FYI, the speakers are located under this front bezel as well - notice the series of small holes.

Your model has a built in antenna for the 802.1bg wireless WiFi adapter that's included - the Mini PCI, Atheros AR5004G chipset.

A blue tooth antenna is not listed for your model, but some users are reporting finding blue tooth antennas inside, even though their ThinkPad did not come with the blue tooth card installed.

No.

I've a little about access point directional antenna's, and access point repeaters that you could use in your home if you need a stronger signal. The only thing you can do with your ThinkPad is to install a different WiFi adapter card that may have better reception. But I wouldn't worry too much. The ThinkPads have some of the best WiFi antennas around.
