S-Video/Scart questions

Hi

I have a T23 and recently bought an S-Video to Scart lead so that I can view DVDs on my TV.

I plugged it in, booted it up, set the display settings to include TV output and switched the TV to AV. The desktop came up on the TV screen perfectly, except that it was in black and white. I tried fiddling around with various settings, including switching from NTSC to PAL (I live in Europe) on the laptop, but to no avail. It remains black and white.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Here are some links you can check out. Basically it appears that you need to convert the S-Video to RCA then RCA to Scart.

You should simply try another converter, I've had some that didn't work, some do.
Ask for one that works with a Thinkpad, then you can take it back easily without the possibility of refusing :P
