AC Adapter Question

In England my adpater is cool. In the USA is get's super hot. More voltage, less heat?

This should be posted on a physics forum perhaps?

United States :

120/208 V ~ 60Hz
120/240 V ~ 60Hz
277 V ~ 60Hz

England:

240 V ~ 50 Hz

Check if you don't use it at 277 V (terrible standard :shock:)
