T43p and error 1802 - patch no1802.com not working?

#1 Post by C.Schlehaus » Sun Aug 14, 2005 4:29 am

Hi,
I wanted to replace the intel WiFi card by my IBM WiFi which worked well in my T42p, as this Atheros card would support 128Mbps. First installation resulted in a 1802 error in the T43p. While the no1802.com seemed to work with the T42p, this patch seems no longer make it on the T43p. After installation of this patch, I still get the "unauthorized network card installed" failure. Does this patch do no longer work on the T43p (newest BIOS)?

Hi,
well just tried once again the no1802.com. While the programm ends with same message as on my T42p (which indicates the according change installed), the 11a/b/g Wireless LAN Card is not recognized (still get the 1802 error). Thus the 1802 seems not to work on the T43p with newest BIOS.
Additionally I checked the service parts list online. According to this list, the 2669-H2G I have, there are only the Intel Cards available for this model, no chande to use any Atheros cards...
But what is the difference between the Intel Pro 2200BG and the Intel Pro 2915ABG?

The latest BIOS for T43Series is 1.22.
you could try to update your BIOS.

Hi,
meanwhile I have updated to 1.22 which made no difference regards the 1802 error.
