screen display issue with t42, weird blue line - please help

hello,

this is one of the friendliest forums i have seen .. so i have a question i hope you guys can help me with: i have a blue line on the left side of my screen running vertically.

changing resolutions does not make the vertical blue line go away. rebooting does not help.
installing latest drivers and bios drivers does not help either.

capturing the screen with printscreen and pasting the image in paint does not show the line, so i cannot show you guys the line with a screen capture, as it does not appear in there.

any suggestions beyond sending it back to ibm?

Nothing to be done, display needs replacement. Solid line of ANY color usually means you have an electrical connection failure to that line of pixels. In your case, it is stuck on blue subpixel. Just be thankful your unit is still under warranty.
