Palmrest goodness anywhere?

#1 Post by whizkid » Mon Aug 22, 2005 2:06 pm

On my beloved 600X, the palmrest is coated with the silky smooth neoprene rubbery, slightly glittery layer that is all over the outside of the case. A new T43 (with UltraNav) I bought for a client doesn't have this.

Do any new ThinkPads have the rubberized palmrest?

Not as far as I can tell. I've looked at T23, T30, T40, and T42 units. All of them have the standard ABS plastic palm rest.

The rubberized palm rests on our old 770s wore out and left behind the shiny metal underneath - I'd rather the ABS plastic that doesn't wear off.
