x31 and recovery cd helpp needed

finaly i got my recovery cd from IBM.....it came with 5 cds. i hav a question here how come after i installed the cds theres no hidden partition, the recovery cd only installs windows xp...btw i changed my hdd to hitachi 7k60 and i want my hidden partition back if possible. so how do u make hidden partition?

Since you have the recovery cds, why do you need the hidden partition? It is a waste of space. If you really need it, I think you can create it by using the IBM rapid restore software, should be installed on your X31.

Generally the HD has to be completely blank in order for the recovery partition to be created (ie delete all partitions on the drive).
