Access Connection problens recovering from standby

#1 Post by C.Schlehaus » Wed Aug 24, 2005 2:55 pm

Hi,
I got this problem with my T43p with INTEL wireless card, running Windows 2000:
Recovering from standby Access Connection in taskbar gets a bubble with "Conncetion with Intel Wireless will be established". While in earlier times and with my T42p I could just start Access Connections and connect to the WLAN Router by "Connect" button, now I have to shut down my TP as the Access Connection Tool hangs with "Server is busy". If I click on "change to..", the taskbar opens and that's it.
Never had that before....

P.S.: Anyone has the IBM Wireless Card II installed in the T43p. Have one from the T42p, but installing produces 1802 error even with no1802.com applied to system...

Did you just upgrade to the new intel wireless card driver? If so, there are others of us here (myself included) that are having this problem. We have a thread about the new driver Here: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=14651

No solution that I know of yet :(

Hi,
I have the latest version installed, while this did not solve the problem...

Maybe the IBM (Atheros chipset) 802.11 a/b/g card would not have this (driver related?) problem. Unfortunately this card is not recognized as an authorized card (1802 error) by my T43p...
