HD change for A31p?

Hallo,

i have the problem, my HD ist damaged. Now i would chang it, but my Bios couldn't find the new harddisk?! Everyone can help me?

New hard drive may not be inserted properly. It's very easy to be off by 1 row of pins!

Thanks, as I can guarantee, that I unite the new hard disk also correct with the pin's? I think actually I would have incorporated it correctly. What can it be still that it is not found?

could be a couple of wierder things. A password protected ATA hard disk is one of them. Where is the drive installed? What kind of machine is it?
