Boot from USB thumb drive?

#1 Post by Skip » Wed Aug 31, 2005 12:47 pm

It it possible to boot an X40 from a USB thumb drive? If so, is there any info on how to do it?

Specifically, I need to apply the hack to allow my non-legit Intel WLAN-card to function, which needs that I boot into DOS somehow. As I don't have any other external drives, I'm pretty much forced to use a thumb drive.

Not tried on X40 but one can create a virtual startup floppy using vfd and then use HPQ's SP27213.
