Any way to fix trackpoint / mouse button?

#1 Post by villemann » Fri Sep 02, 2005 3:36 pm

Hi!

I am the proud owner of a Thinkpad 560X... I got it second hand and it has been working perfectly sofar.

Recently, however, the left mouse button (trackpoint button) started not working some times. It is strange because some times it works perfectly, other times it doesn't work at all.

I have made sure that the cable is tightened and that there isn't any obvious dirt on the contact under the button...

any ideas??

thanks!
Henrik

You probably need a new keyboard. I just purchased a never-used one from eBay for $8. Another great thing about ThinkPads: Parts are available and (sometimes) cheap.
