desktop to thinkpad

Is it possible to connect a desktop to thinkpad and out put the display from the desktop to thinkpad's LCD. Is there any device/adapter that can make this possible ?

Connect them into at least 100Mbit/s LAN and turn on remote desktop.
the most cheap and easiest solution
