Is the RF ID module required?

While replacing the system card in my T21 I seem to have misplaced my RF ID module. This is located in the side of the HD bay. There are two contacts on the system board directly under the module. I don't know if this connection NEEDS to be made.

Hopefully you do not need it as it used to actually be mounted on the motherboard. It is not a separate peice.

Unless you are very good at soldering I would throw it back together and just see what happens.

Note: If you just bought this board from someone online or something, they sent you one missing parts.
