T41p and the Keyboard Light !?
T41p and the Keyboard Light !?
Hi,
My wife has an T21 and there I saw the first time the keyboard light at the top of the display lid, a great feature.
So now on my T41p there is also this led in the lid, but the led is not usable, because the light glares to much. I think the led at the T21 is deeper in the case than at the T41p.
Can anyone agree with that ??
Or is just my led so terrible built in the lid ??
joker.

Re: T41p and the Keyboard Light !?
I have a T40p, and the light seems to glare a bit - But, readjusting the LCD , helps - Mind you that I don't use the light for tiping too much - Only when when those pesky number keys get away from me, I use it...
So I can't say that the light bugs me too much - I'm partial too it...

Yes, mine does that, too. The keyboard light on my T41 shines directly into my eyes
Until now, I thought I was the only one who had this problem.

I don't notice my ThinkLight shining into my eyes unless my LCD is open at 120 degrees or so. Usually I have the LCD at 110 degrees, so I don't have any problems.
Homebuilt PC: AMD Athlon XP (Barton) @ 1.47 GHz; nForce2 Ultra; 1GB RAM; 80GB HDD @ 7200RPM; ATI Radeon 9600; Integrated everything else!
Improvisation is the keyword here. A business card folded in three lengthwise and simply draped over the lid works wonders. You can even change the angle in order to direct the light correctly over the entire keyboard.
Its a shame that IBM gave us such a usefull little tool without actually studying the real world scenario in which case they would have realised that the little light shines disagreeably into your eyes.
Now if only I can find a black business card.
