Can the FireGL T2 (128MB) of my T41p handle Battlefield 2?

#1 Post by Chatbox » Sun Sep 04, 2005 9:50 am

Thinking of getting the game and play on my T41p.
Specs are:
Bianas 1.7GHz
FireGL T2 (128MB), 1400x1050 for the LCD.
2GB RAM

Will the game perform well on my lappy?

Should be fine for most purposes - I played the demo at 640x480 and it's not unacceptable - iirc, about 30-40fps overall, faster than Doom3 at any rate. As long as you're playing for fun and don't expect be world-class comp..

I play BF2 at 1024x768. Everything on low except shadows, and geometry (both at medium), draw distance is set to 100, and I get around 30-60fps. You have 2gb of ram so that will help you with any jittering that might otherwise occur. It is VERY playable with a firegl.

Now that I think about it, my BF2 was probably set at 10x7 as well. It's been a while :P
