Hi,
Another problem. As you know, after upgrading to Windows XP, some Fn key combinations don't work. [Fn] + [F4], [F7], PgUp, PgDn work good, but [Fn] + [F2], [F3], [F11], [F12] don't work. Anybody knows how to make these combinations work?
I especially need F3 and F12 combinations. Or anybody knows what the command file for [Fn] + [F3] monitor off function?
Any advice will be of great help for me, Thanks!
How to make [Fn] + [F3] or [F12] work on 600X?
Those key codes are no longer supported. Fn+F2 was the battery monitor. Now that sits in the task bar, but has less functionality.
Fn+F3 is not supported at all. I've read it can work in Linux, but IBM decided not to support it in W2K/XP. You could set your power settings to turn the screen off very quickly.
Fn+F11 is power setting. You'll have to use your power settings. Left click the battery one and you'll get a list of your power schemes. It's pretty quick.
Fn+F12 is hibernate. Again not supported, but ctrl+esc, u, shift+h (?) will hibernate on XP, if it is enabled.
