question about the pci-express of the t43p swapping cards...

#1 Post by holr » Tue Sep 06, 2005 7:01 am

Hi!

I have read in the past that with some dell notebooks it is possible to change the graphics card as it has pci-express, so long as you can pick up the new card off of ebay or something :-)

Is it possible to do this with the t43p? I have read rumours on this forum about a possible v5000 coming out in the future for the t43p. I guess it all depends on if the graphics card is soldered onto the motherboard like the firegl 2 is, but I havent seen any pictures online of the v3200....

In T series Graphics card is soldered to the motherboard. only way tho upgrade is chnage the entire mothboard with new GPU. or if you can to take pain of removing GPU and then solder it back then it's fine.

But remember that will void your warrenty for sure.
