Best Hotel Security Device

#1 Post by Confused » Tue Jun 29, 2004 5:59 pm

The one advantage of having a 6 year old Inspiron is you never worry about anyone stealing it at a hotel :) . Now I have to worry. What do you think is the best security device for the IBM T series? I'll note that in London - the hotel we stayed at had an in-room safe that was large enough to accomodate a laptop. I've never seen in-room safes like that in the US. Robyn (Confused)

some of the US safes that look too small will actually fit if you "angle" the laptop in carefully... otherwise, hide it in the room well, post the Do Not Disturb sign, and leave the TV on just loud enough so you can hear it from just outside the room with the door closed....

1) Take it with you!

2) Check it at the front desk and get a receipt.

Those are the only sure forms of security.
