"Magic" fix for dead pixels - is this for real?

#1 Post by doppelfish » Fri Sep 09, 2005 7:20 am

Jeff Patch reports in his blog on how he fixed a stuck pixel on his PowerBook. Just play a video showing flashy colors! So simple! Now, my granddad used to tell me, "If it's too good to be true, it probably isnt' true". Is he right this time, too?
I sure downloaded that video, tho'. It might come in handy for the next party.

I have an stuck pixel myself and tried the flash video for over ten hour. I didn't work. Tries rubbing the glass over the pixel (some suggest that this is another solution of fixing the pixels) and didn't work either.
I hope it will work for you. In my case it just don't. I faced it.

I dont if it works... But my old laptop is in for service at the moment because of a minor pixel error..

For those of you who can't see the the pixel error.. notice the blue line ;)
If they can't fix it at the repair shop, i sure will check out that video..
But i doubt it will work!

I have fixed a dead pixel using the massaging technique. Worked good, although I have to say that this dead pixel appeared after one year of using the machine, ie it did not come like that from the factory.
