x30 Extended life battery

I just got an extended life battery for my X31 but it doesn't seem to be working. Windows sees it as a Panasonic and the IBm battery utility says ERROR. Am I supposed to buy an external charger for it, putting it in wrong (I stick in the two feet into slots in the middle and snap it into place like the dock), or should I return it for a refund?

Nevermind. Looks like only one battery can be charged at a time.
