Quick question about memory upgrade..

Hi,

Perhaps this is a stupid question but I thought I'd rather be safe than sorry!:

My new T42 (with 512mb RAM) was shipped out this morning and is being sent UPS 2-day so it should be here on Friday. I also ordered an additional 512 meg RAM (for a total of 1 gig) which is only slated to arrive here a week later.

Is it bad to start customizing Windows XP, installing software, using the computer, etc. before the new RAM arrives? Should I wait to receive the full gig before I start the process?

There's no difference, don't bother waiting. Only change will be a performance boost with the extra ram.
