My OEM hard drive went bad (failed manufacturer hard drive diagnosis and attempted repair).
I am looking for an affordable replacement...with OS installed would be a bonus.
email me at fpickering@yahoo.com if you have one. Otherwise I might strip my t40 and sell it for parts. Thanks.

Is the laptop/harddrive still under warranty? Called Lenovo up and get the harddrive replaced.
If not, go to zipzoomfly.com and buy a 2.5" HD. You can get 40GB drives for about $70. Use your recovery discs to re-install the OS. If you don't have the recovery discs, you can get them from Lenovo support (probably will cost you $45 or maybe free if still under warranty).
