How to reclaim IBM service area

Anybody know how to reclaim the IBM service area, I just received the 7 recovery disks and would like to reclaim the 4+ GB of space.
Thinkpad T42 2373CYU
1.8 Ghz
1024 MB
60 GB HDD 7200RPM(Upgraded)
64 MB 9600 Radeon-Catalyst drivers
DVD-RW

Get partition magic or a similar partitioning program and merge the two together

I got it, I was using Partition Expert and it works a little different.
