undock refused with DSS-25 sony phone cradle attached - help

I have a docing station (dockII - the one with the PCI slot in) for my X31. Everything undocks just fine when doing a FN-F9 or presing the undock button EXCEPT when I connect my phone via the USB DSS-25 cradle. It always fails saying it can undock until I unplug it, then it undocks just fine. Is there anyway I can force this to start working correctly????
