Grrrr....So if you want the higher res 15.4" WSXGA+ and x600/128mb graphics, you have to have the "silver" lid.
I was hoping to be able to bypass the stupid silver lid, but require the higher end graphics..... oh well, where's that can of black paint....

one more thing i forgot to say about the z series earlier.

dell has been making widescreens, for a while now, and have the plastic/metalic look to them. recently dell is coming out with a "luxary" line of notebooks with brushed metal casing, and a quicker customer service response time.


since thinkpads went to lenovo, what are they doing? they are making thinkpads more and more like wonderful dell computers.
