26682pu and dvi

I got my new t43p and am trying to hook up my display to the dock ii. I am connecting the dvi and other connector for the monitor but for some reason dvi is not working. Is dvi supported on the t43p? If so, any idea why this is not working? I have both connectors in, just like I did on my old computer. Thanks
