Need help with my T23 & Dock so i can play games
I have a Thinkpad T23 laptop but the video card in it is not suitable for playing games, so I bought a Thinkpad Docking station II with a PCI slot so that I can buy a proper video card. I bought a Geforce4 Mx4000. After installing the drivers on my laptop then docking the laptop, Nothing shows on the screen, I just see a blank screen name...can someone tell me what to do ? I called IBM and they said they couldn't help me because they had no information on that problem.
Undock your computer and uninstall the new drivers. Leave the driver files on your computer. Reboot your Thinkpad on the dock, and let PNP identify the new video card. Then, point to the driver files and load the driver direclty.
This will load the video card drivers in the docked profile, and prevent the GeForce4 utilities from taking over control of the new card. You do not want to run the GeForce's "setup.exe" or "install.exe" programs because they will do a broad install with all of the bundled utilities. All you need is the driver.
After all that, go to display properties and extend your desktop to the new display.

Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
