T22 and usb pcmcia card

Hi Guys, i bought a pcmcia card for my T22 so i could run a DVD writer, the writer runs fine but whenever i plug in any other device the T22 does not even know it is there. No loud beep, no found new hardware, nothing. I have installed the drivers for the pcmcia card and updated them but still nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

You may need to use the "safely remove hardware" interface, completely remove the PCMCIA, plug it back in and plug in the other device.
