Graphics card issuses....

#1 Post by ken159 » Sat Sep 24, 2005 11:45 pm

I have a Thinkpad T23 and a Thinkpad Dock II ....I installed a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 4000 graphics card on the Thinkpad Dock II...the problem is, I can't get the card to work on the Thinkpad itself....I can only use a external monitor (CRT) that connects to the card...so my question is....does anyone know how to get around this problem, so that the graphics card works on my laptop monitor ?

This is so you can get a better idea of what it looks like

I'm not sure I understand you.

You want the PCI video card in your dock to display on your thinkpad's LCD? Not possible.

I'm not sure I understand either, but here are some things to try:

1. Try pressing Fn+F7 to change your display selection.

2. Check your BIOS at startup to make sure that the internal adapter is enabled.

3. Go go Display Properties and make sure you've extended your Windows desktop to both monitors. If you don't see two monitor icons, click Advanced, then Displays, and make sure you have both Panel and FPD enabled.
Apathy is on the rise, but nobody seems to care.
