(again) Mouse pointer stalling on screen

I seem to be having an issue where my mouse pointer on my t30 stalls when moving it across the screen, also if I open a text document and hold down a letter key and type the letter it also stalls momentarily, anyone else ever seen this is this an indication of something bigger happening?? Had some events in event viewer yesterday code 11 controller on Hard Disk. It is somewhat annoying. The touch pad does the same thing.

While I suppose it could be a number of things, I would first boot up in Safe Mode and do a virus and spyware scan. If you come up clean, I would next uninstall, then reinstall the Ultranav driver. You could also try the same thing with the video driver. My brother had a corrupt driver a couple of years ago, and if I remember correctly the mouse acting up was the symptom.
