I would go for the 14'' screen. But it's personal. I choose this one because of size/weight/perf compromise.
17.06.05:
t43p (2668G4G), PM750, 2Go dual, 1032GAX (100gb/5k/16mb) 2010 error msg, SXGA+ 14.1", V3200, DVD-RW, GBeth, Intel abg, bt, 9 cells, XPPro/Ubuntu, Fingerprint,
800MHz-0.7Vcore, LCD min -> 13Watts

dilemma
Odd dilemma I know, paying more for a screen of lower resolution and non-flex view. Same thing I found when deciding on a T43p, and ended up paying the bigger bucks for a 14.1" due to it smaller size, instead of a 15" T43p (2687D5U).
Just an update for any of you who seen any of my previous posts.
I have been asking a lot of similar questions of which computer to purchase, and no I am not just making comversation. My situation is as follows:
The place where I work provides no interest loans up to the amount of $2,500 for computers. But the whole paperwork process takes about 2-4 weeks before I receive my check for the computer, depending on their workload (they have to send the paper work to Corporate, which is on the East Coast, and I am on the West Coast in Oregon). So I originally had my heart set on a T43 (don't remember the actual model number), but the longer time I spent on this forum the more information I found out, and the better deals I have found. So in earlier posts if I made it sound like I had my mind set, I did, at that time. Unfortunetly not having my check yet gave me more time to do research and look for better deals. Hence more similar questions but with different computers. And at this point the check is still probably at least a week out. So there might even be more similar threads.

HVU with the UXGA display (unless you'll be carrying it around quite a bit). I just spent some time comparing several different displays on the ThinkPads and I absolutely LOVE the 15" UXGA.

I also bought a travel bezel to reduce weight when I'm on the road and don't need my optical drive.
the T42p is on special at thinkpad.com (lenovo's site). My T42p is fast and quiet, though I've heard of others getting cool & quiet T43p's (look for a recent post on that subject).

while i woudln't mind the 7k60 and the faster processor, my t42p is amazing, a real work-horse that keeps up with my 12 hour work sessions. The screen alone is worth it, but the 15" is heavier, so it all depends on what you are looking for.
