I've got a standard XP installation on an X41T (1866-6TU) with 1.5GB of RAM. I have NSW2005 and the Microsoft AntiSpyWare programs active and up to date. I am running into a frustrating problem with IE6 that I'm hoping someone has seen before.
On occassion, when an IE6 session has been minimized, when I attempt to restore to the desktop by selecting the button on the task bar, IE6 restores behind all other windows open on the desktop. When this happens, the only method to get to the restored window is to minimize all the other open windows in front of it.
Additionally, and perhaps relatedly, I frequently have IE6 hang altogether. I can kill it by doing an End Task from the Task Manager. Restarting IE6 after killing it seems to work fine.
Any suggestions on what to try?
Funny behavior and eventual hang of IE6 on X41T
