Good Deal???

I can get a t42P, 60gb 7200 RPM, 1gb ram, 128 mb graphics card, rambo 2, UXA or whatever monitor the 15incher...for 2650, this includes tax and shipping. is this any good? or should i wait? Thanks.

Nowstime,

Sounds like a really good one, but it's risky. The main problem with "Ebay ThinkPads" is that you can't check for dead, or/and stuck pixels. And since it's advertised as new, sealed, you can't really ask the seller to open it and check for those [censored] pixels. And the price is too good for a GEU. It just stinks (IMO).

Be really careful with eBay...I hate to say this but here is quite a bit of fraud going on. Could be asking for trouble if the seller insists you pay by Western Union or wire transfer only...

I've purchased two Thinkpads off eBay and one was DOA. Fortunately, it was still under warranty so I sent it back to IBM to get it fixed.
