r32 wireless?

#1 Post by shames » Wed Sep 28, 2005 2:50 pm

Hi i had a previous post about the problems i was having with my ibm r32 2658 bqu model notebook.
i tried connecting to my school (york) wireless connection with and without access connections and nothign worked.
i uninstalled access connections b/c of what i had heard about it (bad) and it removed this icon for the ibm high rate wifi card that was showing in the system tray.
that icon is now gone
i also have this wireless configuration utility that was installed but when i run it it says there's no network adapter found so it closes.
the wireless says it's installed but it never connects anywhere
i tried the software installer and it went thru and installed all drivers/software but even after this it doesn't seem to work
anyone with any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks

GOTO:
"ADD REMOVE HARDWARE" uninstall the wireless card and re-start.
Plug and play should pick it up and install it.
then you should be fine.

i've done this about 10 times and still nothing..
i uninstall the card and restart and it auto installs the card on it's own
is there a different way i should be doing it?
does it matter that the driver from the site says version 2.00.2a but mine says 2.00.2 even tho it's the same from the site?
