Removing HDD from drive caddy - Help!

#1 Post by teamdaddy » Thu Sep 29, 2005 5:40 pm

Can someone please help me out here. I'm replacing my HDD on my T23. I've got the HDD out of the machine, and I've removed the plastic cover that snaps onto one end. Now I'm trying to remove the disk itself from the caddy. I've removed the four screws on the side, but is there anything else to remove? I can get the disk out of the caddy. Does it just slide out? Does it require any force to remove it. I don't want to do too much for fear of breaking or bending something. Any help appreciated.
On a closer look, there is a white piece of thin cardboard material on top of the disk and inside the caddy. It appears this might be stuck to the disk not allowing it to freely come out. Does this sound right? Does that cardboard go back on top of the new disk?

Never mind. It was two sided tape on the cardboard. I finally got it out.
Thanks.
