I used IBM’s ViaVoice on a G3 Mac and it worked well. However using a dictation system is very different way of working from simply typing. Even after giving it a month, I found I still preferred typing and so stopped using it.

The concept could be useful for disabled computer users or for those with experience of giving dictation, otherwise I would not recommend it.

i sold an R40 to a wheelchair bound, mostly paraplegic fellow in beserkeley last year..
he is an author..
so via voice and the other brand of the same sort of thing work for those that need it..
in my experience these products tend to make you stop and enunciate (sp?) clearly..
you must so the app will work as well as it is able..
