T42 High Pitched Screaming

Hi There

Im using my t42 wirelessly to access the internet. If i decide to close the monitor screen slighlty a high pitched scream is emitted by the t42 which increases greatly the more i try to close the screen. can anyone help??????????

is it in warranty? if so, I'd give Lenovo a call. sounds like a cable is getting pinched, but that's only a guess.

My guess is that you're getting feedback from the microphone. Try muting the mic in "Volume" and see if that doesn't fix it. If it does, and you use your mic a lot, just turn the volume down until it doesn't squeal any more. Hope that helps!

Probably because he's experienced it

I did this by accident with my old Dell once. Usually I kept its mic muted (as I do on my T43p) but the first time you do it you'll wonder what that awful noise coming out of your speakers is.
