Partition Magic

#1 Post by deviousalex » Sun Oct 02, 2005 10:30 pm

I'm thinking about creating a new D: drive using partition magic. Is there any precautions I need to take because of the hidden partition that is already on the drive? I do not want to tamper with it so that I can not recover my system if needed.

From my experience, no problems at all. I just specified the size of the new partition and Partition Magic did the rest. Very easy and no problems at all.

I use PQMagic 8 bootable from one diskette (the booter is based on Win98). Worked perfectly. What type of error does it say?

I've read previously that creating another partition may cause problems with the IBM Access button, but this can easily be fixed, check out this link http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=7661
